Prepare Your Headshot and Resume
If you’re new to the game here is a quick way to prepare your industry standard headshot and resume.
Actor Headshots are NOT Glamour Shots. Start with a Theatrical or Commercial headshot. A theatrical shot is one where you are giving a sassy fierce look or cold hard stare without over doing it. Say it with your eyes. A Commercial headshot is more smiles. This is a good link to learn more about Theatrical and Commercial headshots.
The photographer should deliver them lightly editing. The casting director wants to know who they are going to see, no hidden surprises. So if the photographer is a professional and knows what industry standards are, that will be most important!

PREPARING IT QUICKLY
Ideally it would be great to have your headshot mass produced at a professional company such as pixel pushers , but when you are in a hurry then I recommend having it printed at a FedEx Kinkos or similar print shop.
YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO EMAIL THE PRINTER the 2 files – (1) your headshot with your name & border (2) your actors resume. has to be an 8×10!
The FedEx Kinkos in Woodstock off 92 does a good job. Here is their email and phone number if that helps. Phone: (404) 221-0000 E-mail: firstname.lastname@example.org.
The resume should either be stapled like the image above shows or if you are just printing a few for the upcoming showcase then you could have the resumes printed on the back. We don’t recommend printing all your professionally mass produced headshots with the resume on the back because you should be getting new jobs and you’d have to keep adding to it, but for 3-5 quick headshots this will do the job.
DON’T FORGET, MUST BE 8×10
We hope this helps you get your headshot & resume put together quickly even if you have never had a resume before.
